Dodgers Complete Sweep on Chris Taylor Walk Off

The best two records in the NL faced each other in Chavez Ravine the last 3 days. After stellar outings from Kershaw and Alex Wood, it was Rich Hills turn to toe the rubber and try to complete the sweep of the Arizona Diamondbacks. Rich Hill was fantastic, as was his counterpart, Robbie Ray. After each pitcher allowed solo home runs and striking out a bunch of fucking dudes, the game came down to the bullpens. Luis Avilan quickly gave up 2 dingers, one to Jake Lamb(his second of the game), and an absolute moon shot to Ketel  Marte(his first of the year). D’backs added another run via the Dodgers MLB leading 8th balk of the season.

That’s the shitty part of the story. Let’s go to the bottom of the ninth inning. Enter Fernando Rodney, his stupid fucking sideways had, and his bow and arrow. Rodney promptly give up a lead off single to Yasiel Puig and then proceeds to walk seemingly everyone on the Dodgers 40-man roster. Corey Seager, in all his glory, tied the game and attempted to straighten Rodney’s hat with a screaming line drive up the middle. The D’backs make a pitching change(I don’t even care who they brought in) and Chris Taylor rips a line drive over the left fielders head for the first walk off hit of his career.

The Dodgers first half has been one helluva show. The Giants showed us last year how quickly a great season can turn sour, but who wants to think about that? I’m looking forward to the All Star break after what should be a competitive series against the Royals.
